CANYON, Texas -- For the third match, this season #25-ranked NSU scored the opening minutes, but second-half goals by #11-ranked West Texas A&M gave them a 5-1 win Saturday afternoon.
In the second minute of the contest,
Ryan McCully gave the RiverHawks an early lead on a pass from
Sam Scarth. West Texas A&M got an equalizer in the 18th minute, and the match went tied into half.Â
The Buffs (2-0) got a goal in the 52nd minute and never looked back taken the non-conference contest for the RiverHawks.
Northeastern State (1-2) will remain on the road to play a neutral contest against St. Marin's on the campus of Lubbock Christian.Â
