TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State returned home Sunday to play in a 1-1 draw against Rogers State, with both teams scoring in the 20th minute.
Livy Wagner netted her first goal of the season on a pass from
Payton Lieb; Wagner's kick sailed over the RSU goalkeeper.
The lead for NSU was short-lived, and just 30-seconds later the RiverHawks were called for a foul inside the box to allow Rogers State a penalty kick goal.
Northeastern State controlled the ball launching 21 shots to RSU's eight.
The draw is the second of the season for NSU as they moved to 2-2-2; Rogers State goes to 5-0-1.
Northeastern State opens MIAA play Friday evening with Newman at 7 p.m.
