Jason Rivera gave the RiverHawks a 2-0 start to GAC/MIAA play with a 1-0 win Saturday over Ouachita Baptist.
The goal is his fifth of the season and the fourth consecutive for the true freshman from Irving, Texas. Â
Rivera scored the match's lone goal in the 57th minute unassisted, and it was his second game-winner of the season.
The RiverHawks outshot the Tigers (0-5-1, 0-2-0 GAC/MIAA) 20-to-8 and in corners, 7-to-3 as their record improves to 4-4 and 2-0 in GAC/MIAA play.Â
Northeastern State returns to action Thursday and travels to Rogers State for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
