NSU shuts out Ouachita Baptist, 1-0

TAHLEQUAH -- Jason Rivera gave the RiverHawks a 2-0 start to GAC/MIAA play with a 1-0 win Saturday over Ouachita Baptist.

The goal is his fifth of the season and the fourth consecutive for the true freshman from Irving, Texas.   

Rivera scored the match's lone goal in the 57th minute unassisted, and it was his second game-winner of the season.

The RiverHawks outshot the Tigers (0-5-1, 0-2-0 GAC/MIAA) 20-to-8 and in corners, 7-to-3 as their record improves to 4-4 and 2-0 in GAC/MIAA play. 

Northeastern State returns to action Thursday and travels to Rogers State for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
