TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State scored four times in the second half and finished off its regular season home slate with a 5-2 win Thursday night over Newman.

Ryan McCully netted his seventh of the season in the 54th minute to break a 1-1 tie as the RiverHawks scored four unanswered on the Jets.
Newman scored on the RiverHawks early and held the advantage for three minutes before
Flynn Semmerling landed his 14th goal of the year in the tenth minute for an equalizer.
Martin Martinez had two goals during the 4-0 run by NSU in the second half. The freshman turned in his first multi-goal night, bringing his season total to five.
Jack Barrier scored his first goal of the season and second of his career on a free kick in the 62nd minute.
Newman (1-13-3, 1-8-2 GAC/MIAA) scored their second of the night off a corner kick in the final two minutes of the contest.
The RiverHawks out-shot the Jets 31 to 6 with 14 shots on goal.

Scott Woods, and McCully were credited with an assist Thursday as the RiverHawks improved their record to 9-4-3 (6-3-2 GAC/MIAA).
Northeastern State closes off its regular season Saturday evening at Southern Nazarene. A RiverHawks' win and a Rogers State draw or loss Saturday would give the program a share of the regular season GAC/MIAA title.
