OKLAHOMA CITY – Northeastern State hit three homers and slugged their way past Chadron State, 7-2, but they would fall 6-2 in the nightcap at No. 15 Oklahoma Christian Saturday.

The RiverHawks jumped ahead early on the Eagles, with Reagan Edwards getting a two-RBI single in the opening frame. Chloe Bohuslavicky followed up, belting her fifth homer of the season for the 4-0 lead.

Rhomie Bradshaw added two more for NSU in the second on a two-run shot to center, and Sydney Balderrama hit a solo homer in the third.

Chadron (0-8) plated a run in the third and fourth innings.

Jenna Chassie (1-0) struck out five batters in the win, and NSU had 11 hits, with four batters having a two-hit game.

NSU's bats were limited to one hit until the seventh in the nightcap, with both of their runs coming off Savannah Evans' double.

Oklahoma Christian (9-2) scored all their runs in bunches, with three in the first and three in the sixth.   Four of OC's runs would come unearned.

The RiverHawks wrap up their weekend with a doubleheader at Southern Nazarene's campus starting at 10 a.m.
