BETHANY – Back-to-back homers from
Addy Wolfe and
Sydney Balderrama sparked a six-run fourth inning to propel Northeastern State to a 9-7 victory over Cameron here Sunday.
After falling behind 4-0 after three innings, the NSU bats came alive in the fourth. Wolfe's two-run homer cut the lead in half, and Balderrama's followed with a solo blast cutting the Aggies lead to 4-3.Â
Jaeden Rosenquist singled home the tying run, and
Raegan Edwards gave the RiverHawks the lead with a single to left field.Â
Chloe Bohuslavicky capped off the frame with an RBI double to left field for a 6-4.
Cameron once again regained the lead in the home half of the fourth, pushing across three runs to retake the lead at 7-6.
The RiverHawks reclaimed the lead for good in the fifth; singles from
Carly Kelley, Rosenquist, and
Kiersten Clark led to a three-run inning to give NSU the 9-7 victory.
Jenna Chassie (2-0) picked up the victory for the RiverHawks in the circle, coming on in relief of starter
Gail Young.
