ARKADELPHIA, Ark. –
Gail Young broke the career wins record and recorded a 3-0 shutout Sunday over Ouachita Baptist.
The fifth-year senior punched out the side in the seventh and had her 13th career shut out for win #61 at Northeastern State. Young (2-0) allowed only two hits on the day and fanned seven Tiger hitters.
Northeastern State had nine hits, with Crick and
Sydney Balderrama having two on the day.
The RiverHawks (3-0) knocked in a run in the fourth of an
Alyssia Crick RBI single, and
Chloe Bohuslavicky hit a solo shot in the fifth.
Rhomie Bradshaw scored the team's third run after leading off the seventh with a single.
Raegan Edwards would score Bradshaw on a single through the left side.
Ouachita Baptist, with the loss, falls to 0-4.
The RiverHawks close out their trip with Oklahoma Baptist at 3 p.m. Sunday.
