PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. –
Kaylee Petersen carded a 77 to lead Northeastern State but the RiverHawks could not make any headway on the team leaderboard Tuesday and finished 11th at The Patriot Invitational scoring a 953 (316-319-318) on the par-71, 5897 yard Poppy Hills Golf Club.
Petersen led the RiverHawks with 31 pars in the three-round tournament and shot a 235 (79-79-77) moving up three places on the leaderboard tied for 35th overall.
Yasmin Hang was led NSU through two rounds and finished two strokes behind Petersen with an 82 on Tuesday, she would finish tied for 41st.
Nina Lee shot a 238 (79-80-79) with
Marybeth Bellnap and
Aitana Hernandez both shooting matching 247 scores.
The RiverHawks were eighth out of 12 with 135 pars, and second to last with 15 birdies.
Tournament host, No. 4 ranked Dallas Baptist ran away Tuesday with a 19-stroke win shooting an 862.
Northeastern State returns to the course on April 1-2 for their final regular-season tournament in Phoenix, Arizona.
