EDMOND – Playing shorthanded, the RiverHawks didn't have many answers Friday as they saw a losing skid hit seven with a 6-1 loss to No.4 Central Oklahoma in their MIAA opener.
The RiverHawks were without their top-singles player and forced to play its lineup up one position against the Bronchos.
Belinda Jayaprakash claimed NSU's lone point on court five, winning 6-4, 7-5.
Central took its third consecutive win over NSU and improved to 7-1 (1-0 MIAA)
Northeastern State (3-7, 0-1 MIAA) returns home to host Tabor at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
