MARYVILLE, Mo. – Northeastern State was limited to a pair of hits in a 3-1 loss at Northwest Missouri Sunday afternoon.
In the opening inning,
C.D. White knocked in an RBI single, and the RiverHawks held onto the lead until the fourth, where the Bearcats plated three.
The RiverHawks left six on base and drew five walks as they slipped to 17-11 overall (7–8 MIAA).
Jonathan Smithey struck out five batters and tossed six innings;
Jake Bigham recorded the final six outs punching out two.
Northeastern State will look to avoid a series sweep on Monday. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
