Alyssia Crick hit a go-ahead sac fly in the fifth inning to give Northeastern State a 6-5 nightcap win over Nebraska-Kearney. The win allowed for a day split, with the RiverHawks getting three-hit in a 5-1 loss to William Jewell in the Drury Invitational opener.
Carly Kelley hit a three-run bomb on UNK's starter in the fourth inning, with the RiverHawks having nine base knocks on the Lopers.
Jaeden Rosenquist went 2-for-3 with a double, Crick had two hits, a run scored, and the eventual winning RBI.
The Lopers scored all their runs in the fourth as part of a five-hit frame.
Gail Young (4-2) struck out eight batters in the winning effort.
Raegan Edwards collected two hits in the opener, and
Chloe Bohuslavicky had the only RBI in a 5-1 loss to William Jewell.
Savannah Evans (2-5) got the start in the circle, gave up just five hits, and allowed three earned runs in seven innings of work.
Northeastern State's only run came in the sixth inning a Bohuslavicky fielder's choice scored
Sydney Balderrama.
The RiverHawks committed three errors, and William Jewell's four-run sixth inning put the game out of reach.
Northeastern State (11-8) returns to the field Saturday for two games starting at 2 p.m.
