ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Women's tennis suffered its fourth consecutive setback Sunday with a 7-0 sweep from Missouri Western.
The Griffons (13-3, 4-1 MIAA) took doubles and won the first three singles courts to clinch the match. Unfortunately for the RiverHawks, the result could have looked a lot closer, and they had a trio of third set tilts flip to the Griffons.
The sweep is the first for the RiverHawks this season and the second consecutive to Missouri Western.
Northeastern State drops to 4-11 overall and is 0-4 in the MIAA. They will return home on Thursday to host Nebraska-Kearney.
