BETHANY, Okla. – Northeastern State's high-powered offense was limited to a single run in two setbacks Sunday. The RiverHawks fell 5-1 to Southeastern Oklahoma and 4-1 at Southern Nazarene.
The losses snapped a six-game winning streak for NSU as they will move to 7-5 this season.
Northeastern State was limited to five hits in the morning contest to the Savage Storm and trailed 2-0 in the sixth.
Emily Sampson cut the Southeastern lead in half with a double to right field, scoring
Brynn Burchfield.   In the bottom half of the frame, NSU errors allowed for three insurance runs home.
Madison Heinle (4-2) went six innings and had four strikeouts.
In the nightcap, NSU's costly errors in a pitcher's duel allowed all four of Southern Nazarene's runs.
In the final two innings, the RiverHawks left a pair of late opportunities to cut into SNU's lead on the table. They walked in a run in the sixth and left the bases loaded. In the seventh, NSU managed to get the tying run to the plate but would pop out to end the game.

Baylea Smith had two hits; Evans (1-2) went six innings and stuck out four batters.
