TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State claimed its second shutout of the season Friday in a 3-0 win over Emporia State at Thomas C. Rousey Field.
Lee Callison (2-1) went seven strong innings and threw 103 three pitches.
CJ Briley fanned three batters out of the bullpen in a two-inning save. The pair limited ESU to five hits as the RiverHawks improved to 8-5 (2-0) and clinched a series win over the Hornets.
The RiverHawks scattered six hits, and four Emporia State errors allowed two of NSU's runs to come home.

Brayden Rodden, and
Kademon Graff all had an RBI for NSU.
Emporia State drops to 4-10 (0-2 MIAA) with its eighth consecutive loss to the RiverHawks.
Northeastern State closes out the series Saturday at 1 p.m.
