PITTSBURG, Kan. – Northeastern State was limited to four hits as they dropped the first of two games Sunday to Pittsburg State 5-2.
The Gorillas (17-7, 9-3 MIAA) struck out 12 times to NSU's pitching but drew eight walks and swiped five bags to clinch the series win.
Northeastern State (10-13, 4-8 MIAA) scored its runs in the second off a
Brady Evans single, and
Isaiah Keller had an infield RBI single in the fifth.

Lee Callison (3-2) went four innings, allowing three earned runs, and struck out seven batters.
Gage Fuller went 2.2 innings of scoreless relief and punched out four Pitt State batters.
