RiverHawks hit seven homers in split

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Northeastern State blasted seven homers Sunday and split its games, falling 6-4 to Minnesota-Crookston, and beating Augustana 15-10.

Savannah Evans had three homers on the day and seven RBI.  The junior slugged a grand slam in the nightcap against Augustana and earned a complete game win to move to 5-3 in the circle.

Chloe Bohuslavicky is already a home run short of matching her single-season mark at NSU.  She blasted two long balls in the nightcap and had four RBI to bring her season total to 12.

The international tiebreaker played against the RiverHawks against UMC, and the Golden Eagles broke a 4-4 tie in the eighth, plating two runs.  Raegan Edwards had two hits and a pair of RBI in the loss.

Northeastern State had Augustana on the ropes of being run-ruled, leading 12-2 into the sixth before the Vikings scored seven runs.  Bohuslavicky hit a three-run bomb in the seventh for insurance.

Evans homered twice and had the win inside the circle.  Addy Wolfe and Edwards also had long balls.

The RiverHawks improve to 14-6 overall and will have a showdown Saturday at home, where they will host top-ranked Rogers State.
