TAHLEQUAH – A shorthanded Northeastern State squad saw their three-game win streak snapped Thursday evening to No. 17 Central Missouri, 65-51 inside the NSU Event Center.
Courtney Lee led the RiverHawks (8-8, 4-6 MIAA) with 17 points and had seven rebounds,
Tor'e Alford put up 16 and had the team's two three-point makes of the night.
Halie Jones scored seven points and added seven rebounds.
The RiverHawks' lone lead of the night came in the opening minute with the Jennies outsourcing them in each stanza for their 14th consecutive over NSU. Brooke Littrell paced UCM with 18 points and Graycen Holden had 10 rebounds.
Northeastern State shot 35.2 percent (19-54) on the floor and was out-rebounded by seven with 31 boards. Central Missouri improved to 13-3 (7-3 MIAA) with the win over NSU Thursday.
Northeastern State returns to the floor on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. to host Lincoln.
