TAHLEQUAH – Keon Edwards connected four treys for a 16 point showing but the rest of the team was limited to 33 across the night as Northeastern State took a 63-49 setback against Lincoln Saturday night.
The RiverHawks (6-11, 1-10 MIAA) were held to 19-of-46 (41.3%) from the field while the Blue Tigers (11-6, 6-5 MIAA) shot 50.0% (28-of-56) and held a +12 margin in rebounding with three LU players reaching double figures in the win.
Three NSU players totalled at least ten, with Edwards starting hot with three triples in the opening half and continuing the strong effort into the second. Paired with two steals, the offensive output is the highest of the graduate student's time as a RiverHawk.
Jaxon Jones scored ten and logged three steals, while Ethan Blackmon tied with Trey Quartlebaum for the team crown in rebounding with six and scored ten in the loss
Northeastern State will finish the month with a pair of matchups away from the NSU campus, traveling to Joplin, Mo. to battle Missouri Southern on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
