JOPLIN, Mo. – Northeastern State's offense was limited to 20 points in the second half as they dropped a 72-44 road contest Wednesday night to Missouri Southern.
Courtney Lee scored 17 points for the third consecutive game and was NSU's lone player in double-figures.
Patrycja Pawlata went 4-for-4 off the bench and had a career-high eight points.
Emily Weathers paced the team with seven rebounds.
The RiverHawks (9-9, 5-7 MIAA) trailed as many as 16 points in the first half but a 16-to-7 second stanza put them back 29-24 from the Lions at the intermission.
Missouri Southern (14-4, 10-2 MIAA) halted the RiverHawks' momentum quickly in the second half shooting above 59 percent from the field. The Lions would hold double-digit advantages in the remaining two periods for their 11th consecutive win.
Northeastern State remains on the road to face Pittsburg State this Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
