EDMOND, Okla. – A pair of first-half goals by Central Oklahoma downed Northeastern State 2-0 on Friday evening in Edmond. NSU's offense which landed 14 shots against the Bronchos was shut out for the third time in the past four matches as they fell to 3-5 in MIAA play (9-5 overall).
Central Oklahoma (8-5-2, 5-2-2 MIAA) are winners of four of their past five matches and landed a goal in the eighth minute. The Bronchos picked up its second of the evening 14 minutes later.
Rebecca Partyka had nine saves and Sydney Taylor paced the team with four shots. The RiverHawks were limited to six shots on goal across the match.
Northeastern State travels next to Wichita on Sunday for a match against Newman who after 15 matches is still in search of its first win of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
