CLAREMORE, Okla. - Northeastern State could not recover from a 30-point second quarter from Oklahoma Baptist and fell 80-49 on Saturday afternoon inside the Claremore Expo Center.
Alex Hill paced the RiverHawks with 16 points, and
Courtney Lee scored 11 as they dropped to 0-2 to start the season.
The Bison (1-1) outscored the RiverHawks by 20 in the second stanza, with Mackenzie Crusoe leading them with 16 points.
Northeastern State led three times all of which were in the opening ten minutes of the game as they shot 29.1 percent (16-55). The RiverHawks missed 13 consecutive three-point attempts until
Annaston Brown made their lone triple with 6:58 left in the game.
Oklahoma Baptist out-rebounded NSU by ten with 39.
Annaston Brown led the RiverHawks on the glass with six and had seven points.
The RiverHawks head next to Durant will be Southeastern Oklahoma on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
