TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State head football coach
Darrin Chiaverini announced Tuesday the addition of
Manaia Brown as the program's Defensive Line Coach.
Brown comes to NSU from Garden City Community College and has over ten years of coordinator experience. His 2024 defensive line all signed with NCAA Division I programs.
"Excited to have
Manaia Brown join us as our Defensive Line Coach," said Chiaverini. "Coach Brown brings NFL and Division I experience to our program. He is an excellent recruiter and developer of the Defensive Line and will elevate our Defensive Front immediately."
Brown played at the University of Nebraska as a freshman and saw action in the 2002 Rose Bowl / BCS National Championship Game. He later lettered three seasons at Brigham Young University (BYU) where Brown was a two-time All-Mountain West selection. Brown went on and signed a free-agent contract with the Washington Redskins.
