TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Northeastern State fell 3-0 to Central Oklahoma in a Thursday night match that was moved up a day to avoid Friday's forecasted weather.
The RiverHawks (7-6-1, 2-5-1 MIAA) held the Bronchos scoreless through the first half behind a strong effort from goalkeeper
Rebecca Partyka, who recorded five of her six saves before halftime.
Central Oklahoma (6-4-5, 4-2-3) broke through in the 51st minute with a goal from Emma Fioretti, assisted by Emma Nicholas. The Bronchos added insurance scores from Caleah Carter in the 65th minute and Evelyn Sydnes in the 83rd to seal the win.
Northeastern State managed nine shots — three on goal — but couldn't find the back of the net against UCO keeper Avery Bass, who earned the clean sheet with three saves.
The RiverHawks return home Sunday, Oct. 26, to host Newman at 1 p.m. for Senior Day at DeLoache Field.
