TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State tight end
Cam Woods was named the Walter Camp Division II Offensive Player of the Week, the organization announced.
Woods delivered a monster performance in the RiverHawks' latest outing against No. 3-ranked West Florida, hauling in seven receptions for 200 yards and three touchdowns. His explosive contest is tied for fifth-most reception yards in a game in NSU football history, and Woods is one of 19 players to catch three touchdown passes in a game.
The recognition marks the first time this season that a Northeastern State player has earned Walter Camp national honors.
Northeastern State returns to action Saturday as it looks to build on its offensive momentum at Lincoln (Mo.).
