BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Northeastern State had five players with multi-hit games as it hammered Missouri-St. Louis 12-4 in six innings Friday at the Alvy Early Memorial Classic.
The RiverHawks (2-3) put up five runs in both the second and sixth innings, with
Raegan Moore scoring three times.
Madison Nance gave the RiverHawks an early lead with an RBI double to left-center in the first inning before NSU batted through the order in the second. The RiverHawks tallied five runs in the frame, opening with four consecutive hits.

Charlea Cochran,
Drew Hawkins, and Macy Sawney each drove in a run during the outburst.
The Tritons got one run back in the bottom of the second, but
Brynn Burchfield responded with a two-out RBI single to center in the third, extending NSU's lead to 7-1.
Missouri-St. Louis (1-4) trimmed the deficit with a two-run homer in the fourth and added another run with two outs in the fifth.
Northeastern State answered with five more runs in the sixth, all with two outs. Moore singled up the middle, and
Madison Heinle crushed an 0-2 pitch to center for her first career grand slam, giving the RiverHawks a 12-4 lead.
Gracie Turner (1-0) pitched 4 2/3 innings, striking out four.
Ryleigh Peters entered with a 7-4 lead and recorded her first save.
