SHAWNEE, Okla. – Oklahoma Baptist scored in all but one inning and run-ruled Northeastern State, 9-1, in Game 1 on Tuesday evening.
Maddie Messenger drove in the RiverHawks' lone run with a single to right field in the fifth inning, scoring Macy Sawney. NSU was limited to four hits overall, while Oklahoma Baptist (28-15) belted three home runs.
Madison Heinle (6-10) took the loss in the circle, lasting 1 1/3 innings in her 14th start of the season.
Northeastern State dropped to 15-30 with the loss.
