TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State held Missouri Southern to just one hit and closed out the regular season with a 4-0 win Saturday at Rousey Field.

Neither team scored until the fifth inning, when a leadoff single and an error opened the door for NSU to plate two runs. Colton Ayres and Mason Ruiz each delivered RBI singles to the outfield.
Xavier Sanchez added to the lead in the sixth with a two-out single that slipped into right field. In the seventh, Missouri Southern committed its fourth error of the afternoon, allowing another run to score when a throw from third sailed into foul territory.
Missouri Southern (26-24, 18-18 MIAA) managed just a leadoff double—their only hit of the game—and was held scoreless for the final 17 innings of its season.
