TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State head baseball coach
Kyle Williams will be introduced to Tahlequah on Wednesday, Aug. 6 with a special appearance on the RiverHawks Sports Nest podcast, recording from Emery's Grill at 6 p.m.
The hosts of the program, DJ Shawn Solo and Captain
William Morgan, return behind the mic for the first time since May with the special episode. The duo will be joined by Director of Athletics
John Sisemore and the "Voice of the RiverHawks"
Orry Phillips, as they conduct the first live interview with Williams in his new position on-site at Emery's.
Williams was officially named as Northeastern State's head baseball coach in June after six seasons in the same role at fellow NCAA Division II program Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, where he coached 14 All-Lone Star Conference (LSC) selections.
His coaching career also includes time spent as an assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator for six years at Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri. During his time at Crowder, the program won 262 games, earning a pair of Region XVI Championships in 2014 and 2017, in addition to a trip to the NJCAA College World Series in the latter season.
The live podcast will be free to attend for the public, while the episode will be available for on-demand listening and viewing at a later date. The RiverHawks Sports Nest podcast is available to listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music. Additionally, a video production of the show is available to view on the Rogue Radio Network YouTube channel.
Emery's Grill is located on 407-411 N Muskogee Ave and serves as the official on-site host of the RiverHawks Sports Nest podcast, in addition to The Darrin Chiaverini Show and The NSU Basketball Coaches Show.
