FORT SMITH, Ark. -- Northeastern State claimed a dominant midweek league win over Arkansas-Fort Smith, earning a 13-3 decision from Crowder Field on Tuesday.
The RiverHawks (8-17, 3-10 MIAA) picked up their first true road win of the
Kyle Williams era behind three big innings on the offensive end. After plating four runs in the first, NSU would pounce again in the seventh with three more before finishing off the Lions (4-18, 3-10 MIAA) with a conclusive six-run outburst in the eighth. UAFS would also score in three different innings but would not find multiple runs in any individual frame.
