The RiverHawks (12-21, 7-14 MIAA) clinched the season series over the Lions (4-26, 3-18 MIAA) through a series of fireworks that started in the second inning. After UAFSÂ scored a run in the top half, NSU would pounce in the bottom half with home runs from
Gunner Lakins and
Alex Nirider, in addition to extra base hits from
Carson Miller,

The hosts tallied five runs to gain a lead that they'd never surrender, assisted by three more multi-score innings, including a six-run fifth.
Lakins and
Jaxon Gregory had three hits in the win, with Lakins batting in a team-high three runs. Seven of NSU's starters would come away with multi-hit efforts, including Finley, who claimed the team's third home run in the fifth.
