MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Northeastern State wrapped a three-game stretch against Northwest Missouri with a 4-0 loss in Maryville on Monday.
The RiverHawks (13-28, 8-21 MIAA) kept up with the Bearcats (30-13, 20-9 MIAA) on base hits with seven compared to Northwest's tally of eight. The Bearcats claimed all of the scoring plays, starting with a sacrifice fly in the third and continuing in the seventh and eighth in the form of an RBI double and a two-run homer.
Stephen Osborne had a two-hit performance in the leadoff spot, while
Jake Woodring landed a pair of hits to log his third multi-hit effort of the season in his ninth start.
Jackson Hill went five innings in his third start of the campaign, but received the loss after allowing the initial score to the hosts.
Parker Allen struck out a team-high three hitters across 1.2 innings, while
Evan Schuelke picked up in the seventh and pitched through the end of the contest.
The RiverHawks take the field in Tahlequah against Central Oklahoma in the regular season series finale at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
