Baseball drops game three to Northwest Missouri

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Northeastern State wrapped a three-game stretch against Northwest Missouri with a 4-0 loss in Maryville on Monday.

The RiverHawks (13-28, 8-21 MIAA) kept up with the Bearcats (30-13, 20-9 MIAA) on base hits with seven compared to Northwest's tally of eight. The Bearcats claimed all of the scoring plays, starting with a sacrifice fly in the third and continuing in the seventh and eighth in the form of an RBI double and a two-run homer.

Stephen Osborne had a two-hit performance in the leadoff spot, while Jake Woodring landed a pair of hits to log his third multi-hit effort of the season in his ninth start.

The RiverHawks take the field in Tahlequah against Central Oklahoma in the regular season series finale at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
