WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Northeastern State closed a Tuesday doubleheader on the road against Central Missouri with three hits in a 9-0 game two loss that lasted five innings.
The RiverHawks (20-17, 7-9 MIAA) were attacked in the first and fourth innings by the Jennies (26-12, 9-5 MIAA), who collected four runs in each frame, in addition to a single score in the third.
Jensyn Elder took the loss from the circle after her start was finished inside of the first inning. Offensively,
Mattison Hamilton,
Peyton Watson and Madision Nance each recorded a base hit in the loss.
Northeastern State returns to RiverHawks Park for their final homestand of the season, starting Friday with a doubleheader against Fort Hays State (2/4 p.m.).
