Four NSU Golfers named to WGCA All-American Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A quarter century of academic excellence for the Northeastern State women's golf program, with Laci Fravert, Laia Llorens, Talya Samir, and Jessica Parker earning WGCA All-American Scholar status.  

Since 2001, there have been 52 WGCA All-American Scholars from Northeastern State, with this year's recognition being the 25th consecutive for the program. 

Parker earned her second WGCA All-American Scholar accolade, and it is the first for Favert, Llorens, and Samir.

1,551 women's collegiate golfers were recognized in NCAA Division I, II & III. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are among the most stringent in college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 650 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting, and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
