TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State opens its 45th season of men's soccer with a matchup against Missouri S&T on Thursday at DeLoache Field. The match marks the beginning of the regular season for both teams, with head coach Rob Czlonka entering his 16th season as head coach of the RiverHawks.

The RiverHawks are tabbed to finish in fifth place in a preseason vote by the Great American Conference and Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association men's soccer coaches.  NSU has played in two preseason friendlies, traveling to Oral Roberts and then hosting Oklahoma Wesleyan.

History with the Miners
Northeastern State is 5-9-1 all-time against Missouri S&T and 3-2 when facing the Miners at home. The RiverHawks have won four of the last ten meetings and claimed a 3-1 victory over the Miners in the last home meeting.

Northeastern State meets the Blue Tigers for the second time, after a 0-1 match last season. The 2025 season match was the first meeting between the two teams.

• Lincoln finished with an overall 9-6-3 record and a second-round NCAA D2 Tournament appearance. 
• The Blue Tigers were picked to finish sixth in the GLVC after going 8-0-6 in conference play in 2025.
