HAYS, Kan. -- Northeastern State men's soccer dropped a 2-1 decision to Fort Hays State Saturday at FHSU Soccer Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, Fort Hays State took a 2-0 lead with goals in the 51st and 56th minutes.
The RiverHawks cut the deficit in half in the 66th minute.
Chanyee Lo found the back of the net for his first goal of the season, finishing a pass from
Carter Adams.
Northeastern State recorded 13 shots, including five on goal. Fort Hays State finished with six shots and four shots on target.
Cameron McColloch made two saves for the RiverHawks, while
Victor Jaunay also saw action in goal.
The RiverHawks move to 1-6 overall and 0-2 in GAC/MIAA play. Fort Hays State improves to 4-1-2 overall and 2-0 in conference action.
Northeastern State returns to Tahlequah on Wednesday, Sept. 23, to host Southern Nazarene.
