TAHLEQUAH -- The Northeastern State University football team moved up five spots to No. 13 in the D2Football.com poll, the publication announced Monday.

Northeastern State trailed early but scored 27 unanswered points and held Missouri S&T to under 100 passing yards in a 27-7 victory in Rolla. 

The RiverHawks have been ranked by D2Football.com since the end of the 2025 season and have won their last nine games, the second-longest nationally behind last season's national champions, Ferris State.

Northeastern State travels to Truman State this Saturday for a noon kickoff, the second game of its month-long road trip.
