TAHLEQUAH --
Ashten Holloway's 34th-minute goal sent Northeastern State to its third win of the season in a 1-0 decision over East Central.
The RiverHawks (3-1-1) dominated the possession battle and more than doubled the shot output of the Tigers (0-5), recording 20 attempts to ECU's nine. 10 different players landed a shot attempt against the ECU defense, including four apiece from Mya Lynn Tran and
Hannah Anderson, who combined for four of NSU's seven shots on-goal. NSU also logged 10 corner kicks, compared to three from the Tigers.
Holloway's goal late in the opening period was assisted by Mya Lynn Tran and marked her first score with the program. Defensively,
Juliette Langlet made six saves to clinch the team's third shutout of the season.
NSU ends its non-conference schedule by hosting Missouri Southern on Military Appreciation Day at DeLoache Field on Sunday at 1 p.m.
