NORTHEASTERN STATE – A returning letterwinner . . . has played in 10 games with six starts . . . owns 21 career tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss . . . career-high four tackles came against Pittsburg State (Sept. 7, 2013) . . . sat out his first year at NSU . . . spent time at three different colleges prior to arriving at Northeastern State.
 
Redshirt Junior (2013) – Competed in his first 10 games as a member of the RiverHawks, while making six starts at defensive tackle . . . earned his first starting assignment in the season opener against Pittsburg State . . . also started against Washburn, Northwest Missouri State, Missouri Western State, Central Missouri, and Lincoln . . . missed the Emporia State game due to injury . . . finished the year with 21 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss (-2 yards) . . . registered a season-best four stops against the Gorillas . . . also tallied three tackles against the Ichabods, Griffons and Blue Tigers.
 
Junior (2012) – Did not see the field in his debut season at NSU due to NCAA transfer regulations.
 
Previous Colleges (2007-11) – Attended Dodge City Community College (2007-09), Michigan State University (2010) and, most recently, Fort Scott Community College (2011) prior to transferring to NSU.
 
High School – Was a four-year letterwinner at Palmetto Ridge HS . . . named all-conference and all-district senior year . . . also competed in basketball sophomore year and landed on the all-conference team . . . was a member of the track team as a junior and was named all-state, all-region and all-conference.
 
Personal – Majoring in criminal justice . . . son of Leana Nicolas . . . born July 21, 1989.
