Biography

NORTHEASTERN STATE – A returning letterwinner . . . has played in 32 career games with 24 starts at NSU . . . owns a career .278 batting average (22-for-79) with one double, three home runs, 15 runs, and 14 RBI . . . has six career steals . . . most RBI in a single game is eight, which occurred against Lindenwood (March 10, 2014) when he hit two grand slams in back-to-back innings . . . also has a career ERA of 10.02 and a 0-0 record in 20.2 innings . . . has one career save and 15 strikeouts . . . played on the NSU football team for two seasons before returning to the diamond . . . earned a full scholarship to play baseball at University of Oklahoma and spent his freshman season in Norman, Okla.
 
Junior (2014) – Appeared in 32 games and made 24 starts (13-DH, 8-RF, 4-P, 1-LF) in his first season as a member of the baseball team . . . began the year in the field and made the transition back to the mound in the latter stages of the season . . . finished the campaign with a .278 batting average (22-for-79) with one double, three home runs, 15 runs scored, and 14 RBI . . . registered a .405 slugging percentage and a .310 on-base percentage . . . had a .941 fielding percentage (13 putouts, three assists, one error) . . . was 6-for-6 in stolen-base attempts . . . had a season-best seven-game hit streak . . . best game of the season was a 3-for-4 effort against Lindenwood (March 10), where he tallied two grand slams and eight RBI . . . had three games with at least three hits and five multi-hit games total . . . posted two games with at least two RBI . . . registered a 10.02 ERA and a 0-0 record in 20.2 innings on the mound . . . gave up 30 hits, but only two extra-base hits on the season . . . also had one save and 15 strikeouts . . . earned the save against Central Missouri (May 3) in the first round of the MIAA Championship.
 
NSU Football (2011-12) – Competed in 22 games and made 16 starts at linebacker in two seasons as a member of the football team . . . racked up 95 tackles to go along with 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks . . . also registered two interceptions and 10 pass breakups . . . recovered three fumbles, including one for a touchdown against Central Missouri (Oct. 20, 2012) . . . the fumble recovery for TD sparked a 21-point comeback that helped NSU defeat the Mules 24-23 on Homecoming . . . most tackles in a single game was 10 against Missouri Western State (Oct. 6, 2012) . . . also had nine stops against Harding (Oct. 15, 2011).
 
University of Oklahoma (2011) – Pitched in 11 games during his lone season with the Sooners, helping the team earn a trip to an NCAA Championship Regional with a 41-19 record . . . OU is an NCAA Division I member that competes in the Big 12 Conference . . . finished the season with a 1-0 record and a 4.05 ERA in 13.1 innings . . . conceded 12 hits and six earned runs, while striking out 13 . . . added a two-inning save against Bacone College (April 20) . . . was credited with the win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 22) after throwing 2.2 innings of relief . . . struck out in his only plate appearance.
 
High School – Was a four-year letterwinner at Jay HS under Mike Moore . . . named to the All-Verdigris Valley First Team all four years . . . was a Max Preps Second Team All-American and an all-state first team performer senior year . . . was the Ferguson Jenkins Award winner . . . was a 2009 Under Armour All-American . . . honored as the 2009 Rawlings Golden Glove Oklahoma Player of the Year.
