Briefly: Returning letterman ... signed with Emporia State out of high school, then transferred to NSU after a redshirt season at ESU ... appeared in six games a year ago ... entering the year Brooks has 11 total tackles, one fumble recovery and one interception in his career ... has the speed of a defensive back, but could also see time at linebacker.

High School: Three-time All-District football performer at Muskogee High School ... also lettered in track as a freshman, sophomore and junior for the Roughers ... helped lead track teams to three state championship meets as a member of their sprint relay squads ...
