Tyler Mitchell, 6-4, 180-pound sophomore redshirt guard fromTulsa, is the son
of  Joe & Marla Mitchell.

Mitchell an accounting major, is a transfer from the Universityof Ozarks, where
he averaged  7.0 points per game and four rebounds hisfreshman season.  He was
named to the American Southwest Conference All-Freshman team. He missed last
season due to a broken wrist.

A graduate of Bishop Kelley High School  where he playedfor Danny Limes,
Mitchell was instrumental in leading the Comets to establishing aschool record
18 consecutive wins and  No. 1 ranking his junior season. TheComets finished
with a 23-5 record.

His final season at Bishop Kelley, Mitchell averaged 15.7 pointsas the Comets
posted a 19-7 record. He was named to the Oklahoma CoachesBasketball Coaches
All-State team and was a Jim Thorpe All-Star selection.

Mitchell is a member of  Fellowship of Christian Athletesand SAAC. His sister
Adrieme played softball at Missouri State University inSpringfield.
