Dominic Gicinto enters his first season on the Northeastern State football coaching staff as Wide Receivers Coach.
Gicinto joins NSU after a collegiate playing career that spanned from 2018-23. Gicinto wrapped up his playing career at UNLV in 2023, reuniting with Barry Odom and appearing in all 14 games for the Rebels. The 2023 season proved to be a significant one for the program, as the Rebels advanced to the Mountain West Championship Game and played in their first bowl game since 2014, earning a berth in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
Prior to UNLV, Gicinto spent two seasons at New Mexico State. Gicinto appeared in four games across two seasons, recording a career-high seven receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown against San Diego State in 2021.
Gicinto also spent three seasons at Missouri after being recruited to Columbia by Odom. During his time as a Tiger, Gicinto appeared in 27 games, including 23 during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. As a true freshman, Gicinto recorded 15 receptions to finish sixth on the team, while adding 171 yards and two touchdowns.
Prior to his time in Columbia, Gicinto was a standout at Raytown High School in Missouri, catching 85 passes for 1,341 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior after totaling 31 receptions and eight touchdowns as a junior. Gicinto was a finalist for the Otis Taylor Award, which honors the top receiver in the Kansas City metropolitan area, and was rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports.
