Box Score Shawnee, Okla. – Northeastern State wins season opener at Oklahoma Baptist. Senior, forward Rachel Sordahl lead the RiverHawks to victory over the Lady Bisons 2-0 on Thursday night at the OBU Soccer Complex.

The RiverHawks scored two goals in the first half with Sordahl scoring from point blank range five minutes in and later scoring the game winning goal on a penalty kick.

Sordahl, who is a returning letter winner, was the RiverHawks leading scorer last season with 11 goals and 27 points.

The RiverHawks now 1-0 on the season will play their next match against McMurry at home on Dr. Dan Deloache Field 7pm Friday September 7.
