RiverHawks Top the Rangers 3-0

The Northeastern State women's soccer team defeated the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers 3-0 at Ranger Field in Alva, Oklahoma Friday night.

Northeastern State is now 4-0 on the season while NWOSU fell to 0-6.

The RiverHawks took an early lead against the Rangers in the first half. Senior forward Rachel Sordahl scored in the 14th minute unassisted. Sordahl's goal proved to be the game winner and her seventh goal of the season.

Junior forward Emily Voges netted two goals in the second half to secure the RiverHawks win 3-0.

NSU outshot the opponent 30 to 4.

Freshman goalkeeper Hannah Brudzinski earned her third shutout of the season.

NSU will play at home against their first MIAA opponent of the year, Missouri Southern State, at 1pm Sunday, September 16 at DeLoache Field.
