Week 4 Match Notes
Tahlequah, Okla. ---- The Northeastern State women's soccer team will host two home matches at DeLoache Field this weekend against MIAA opponents Lindenwood and Truman State.
 
RiverHawks Post a Perfect Season and a First-Ever MIAA Win

Northeastern State women's soccer continues its winning record 5-0-0 and 1-0-0 in MIAA play going into the fourth week of play. This past week the RiverHawks defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State at Ranger Field in Alva, Okla. 3-0. Junior forward Emily Voges scored two goals for the RiverHawks while senior forward Rachel Sordahl scored her seventh goal of the season and the game winner. NSU outshot NWOSU 30 to 4. 

Northeastern State faced its first-ever MIAA opponent, Missouri Southern State, on Sunday, September 16th at Doc Wadley Stadium in Tahlequah, Okla. NSU defeated MSSU 4-2. The Lions two goals were the first two goals to be allowed by an NSU opponent this season. Sordahl scored the first goal for the RiverHawks on an assist from Voges. Sordahl's goal marks her eighth earned goal of the season. Junior forward Jennifer Clark scored two goals against the Lions, the second goal proved to be the game winner. Sophomore midfielder Elizabeth Cudjoe earned the assist. Freshman forward Lindsey Latta earned her first goal of the season to insure NSU's win, she was assisted by Clark. 

NCAA Women's Soccer National Rankings

Rachel Sordahl, a Pryor, Okla. native, has stood out this season as a forward. She was named MIAA Athlete of the Week previously and is currently ranked second nationally for game winning goals, she has earned three this year. Sordahl is also ranked fourth in the nation for goals per game averaging 1.6 a match and ranked sixth for points per game averaging 3.2. Sophomore midfielder Elizabeth Cudjoe is also recognized nationally. She is ranked 13th in the nation for assists per game averaging 0.8 and is ranked 12th for total assists, she has earned 4 this season.
