NORTHEASTERN STATE COACH LARRY GIPSON
On the key factors of the game…
“We didn't come in with a defensive mentality. We weren't alert. I thought we had control of the game early in the first half. We had a series of six possessions where they scored 14 points and took the lead, but we clawed back and tied it at halftime. After that they stayed in their zone, and we simply have to shoot the ball better. It's really hard right now, and we've got some guys who aren't willing to get tough enough.”

On the defensive effort…
“I feel like we didn't handle ourselves very well defensively. We're not a good defensive team, and we're going to struggle until it matters to us to be a good defensive team.”

On what he wants to see before the team's next game…
“I want to find out who the guys are that will fight through adversity.”
