2013 Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-American Teams
EVANS, Ga. –
Jordan Schmoker was named to the 2013 Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-American Honorable Mention Team, the organization announced Wednesday.
Â
Schmoker led the nation in assists per game (0.87) and finished third in the NCAA in total assists (13). He set a school record for most helpers in a single season, and his 23 career assists (in just two seasons) are tied for the most in school history. He also scored four goals and finished second on the team and fifth in the MIAA with 21 points.
Â
Aside from being honored as one of the nation's top midfielders, Schmoker has also been named to the 2013 Daktronics All-Central Region First Team, the 2013 All-MIAA First Team and the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
Â
He becomes the third RiverHawk in school history to earn Daktronics All-American accolades, joining
Bo White (2012 First Team) and
Juan Peralta (2012 HM).
Â
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences sponsoring men's soccer selected the Daktronics All-American teams. The process begins at the regional level with all first team All-Region picks advancing to the national ballot. This is the eighth year Daktronics has sponsored the NCAA Division II men's soccer All-American and All-Region teams. A total of 60 student-athletes filled out the three teams and honorable mention selections.
Â
The team is sponsored by
Daktronics, Inc., recognized worldwide in its industry as the leading designer and manufacturer of electronic scoreboards, programmable display systems, and large screen video displays using light emitting diode (LED) technology. The team is voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
