Box Score 2 TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Northeastern State Softball earned wins over both Bacone College and William Jewell on Saturday at RiverHawks Park.
NSU (3-3) defeated Bacone College (1-6) 9-0 in five innings and held on to top William Jewell (1-1) 4-3.

The RiverHawks put up an early lead on a double through the left field side by
Navada Campos to bring home junior shortstop
Amanda Harjo and start off the scoring trend for NSU.
Northeastern State went on to score four runs in the bottom of the third inning and four runs in the bottom of the fourth to ensure a 9-0 run-rule victory over Bacone College. The Lady Warriors stranded six runners in the contest.
Harjo recorded two runs and led the team with three RBI. Seniors
Lindsea Ross and
Kelsi Hilderbrandt each added two runs.
Lisa Ripperger,
Allyson Pogue and
Madison Reed all scored for the RiverHawks.
Freshman
Kayce Wooldridge (1-1) picked up the win after pitching all five innings. She allowed only four hits and no runs.
NSU 4 , William Jewell 3 (Box Score)
NSU jumped on top early with two runs in the first inning. The RiverHawks added two more runs in the third inning while the Cardinals remained scoreless until the sixth inning.
WJ's Annali Dolman hammered a homerun in the bottom of the sixth and brought in three runs to end the inning. The RiverHawks shut down the Cardinals in the seventh inning allowing no runs, one hit and two left on base.
Campos led the team with two RBI and Harjo led the team with two runs. Ripperger was a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate.
Freshman
Saharra Henson and
Megan Robison also recorded runs for NSU.
Senior
Cayce Coleman (1-2) notched the win, her first of the season. Coleman threw the entire seven innings, allowing eight hits and three runs.
Northeastern State will return to the diamond tomorrow to face off against William Jewell at 11 a.m. and Bacone College at 3 p.m. at RiverHawks Park.
