NORTHEASTERN STATE COACH ROB CZLONKA
Opening statement…
"We're very excited to still be at the top of the table heading into the second half of the season. Our guys have worked hard. They put in the work during the offseason, and it's paying off for us so far this year. Defensively, we were rock solid today. Lindenwood was never really able to get behind our defense, which was anchored by Terence (Smith) and Jarrett (Whitcomb). Julius (James) made his first-career start and did a good job, and Brenden (Bombardier) continues to play well for us. Hayden scored a great goal for us today. We got our first look at him the summer before his senior year of high school when he came to our camp. We liked what we saw then, so we stayed with him. Thankfully he chose NSU, because he won a big match for us today."

On snapping Lindenwood's 22-match home unbeaten streak…
"I'm proud of our guys for being able to stop an impressive streak like that. This team is so tough to play, especially at home. Going up against a team like Lindenwood that we have not been able to defeat yet was a mental hurdle that we had to get over. We controlled the factors that we could control. Lindenwood is a very good team. They're probably going to win a bunch of matches the rest of the season."
