"Overall, I felt we swung our bats pretty well this weekend, we scored a bunch of runs, but in softball you can score five or six runs in an inning but still come out behind if you give the opponent those big innings, that's something we need to eliminate," coach
Clay Davis said. "The combination of our defense and pitching needs to improve. That's something we will work on to get ready for our home festival next weekend. Work to strengthen our lineup."
"Maddie Boyd had a good run this weekend as well as
Saharra Henson. Campos is coming out of her slump, she had two big homeruns for us this weekend. We look to up our offensive numbers and wait for our pitching to catch up."
Northeastern State will host a home festival Feb. 22-23 that will include William Jewell and Bacone at RiverHawks Park. NSU will see Bacone first on the first day at noon followed by William Jewell at 3 p.m.
